Live Photos: El Dahan Restaurant in 6th of October
Now Open: El Dahan Restaurant in 6th of October. El Dahan is a well known Egyptian grilled & Oriental food franchise, established in 1890, they approached Z line to design their new branch in 6th of October city, while creating a revamp for their brand including a new logo and visual identity.
Their request was to create a design that reflected their Egyptian Heritage while suiting the current contemporary design trends. We played with Islamic heritage lines, Earth tones and colors, icons from the classical and contemporary Egyptian culture and pop icons of the 5os.

Mini Master Preliminary Design

Design: Speranza Showroom in Maadi

The Final Design for Speranza Autos’ main showroom in Maadi. Speranza, a franchise of Chery Automobile Co. Ltd, is a Chinese Car Brand, introduced by Aboul Fotouh Group to the Egyptian market. Speranza strongly proved itself as a competitor in the Egyptian Market.
The showroom area is 300 m², and was designed to express Speranza Market position as a competitive car brand with a wide range of models catering for most of the Egyptian Market, while expressing Speranza’s futuristic technology that offers the best performance, and slick modern designs. Read more…
Design: The Architecture of Spirituality – The Masjid of Purification

The final design proposal for the Purification Masjid – مسجد النقاء in 6th of October city.
The design concept statement is: Minimalism as an architectural translation of spiritualism
The design utilizes the use of spacious white spaces and uses the play of direct & indirect light to attain the spirituality and piety of prayers.
The design is carried out in linear longitudinal lines to accentuate the spiritual importance of the Qibla and achieve a direct visual connection between the Qibla’s horizontal axis (towards Mekka) and vertical axis (towards heaven).
The Vertical lines of the design are prominent, to create a strong visual link with heaven and give a sense of aspiring heavenwards, furthermore, above the qibla, a skyline is present to achieve this visual link.
W Cafe

The final design proposal for “W” cafe in Alexandria. The client requested a Classic elegant yet modern design scheme for the 260 msq. cafe.
In the design, we used wood extensively, to give richness and elegance. While blending warm earth tones to provide a welcoming cozy cafe environment. Read more…

Bavarian Auto Group is the sole importer of BMW and MINI in Egypt, with exclusive rights for import, assembly, distribution, sales and after-sales support of BMW products in Egypt. Salgari, a Furniture retailer requested a design for their new 90 m² showroom. The main design issue was the compactness of the space in relation to the amount of furniture showcased, which we tried to solve by not including full furniture sets, and enclosing the showrooms terrace to maximize the showcase area. Palm Hills Development (PHD) requested a design proposal for their Head quarters located in Zamalek, Cairo. The Office facility is composed of an outdoor area of 220 m² and indoor office space & showroom of a total area 216 m².

Maktabty Bookstore Cafe at Sequoia Cairo

This is the preliminary design for Maktabty, a Bookstore Cafe owned by Jawad Nablusi, it was proposed to be done at Sequoia Nile Lounge, Zamalek.
The design concept was carried out in a semi-vernacular approach, relying heavily on wood, stone and comfortable linen covered couches, to maintain a cozy outdoor setting, with privacy and shielded from the busy Sequoia lounge area, to facilitate reading and concentration.
